At Mystical Friend, we welcome your submissions. Do you have a mystical experience to share? A practice? Is there a mystic you would like to highlight?
Please send your submission to: MysticalFriend144@gmail.com. By submitting to Mystical Friend, you acknowledge that we may make minor edits for clarification, but we will strive not to altar your submission substantially. If we believe substantial changes should be made, we will contact you, and offer you the opportunity to make changes yourself. We reserve the right to decline any submission for any reason, and will notify you about a decision to decline. Please understand that we make take a few days to respond to your submission, as we are not able to respond immediately.
General Guidelines
Please share your own personal experience in your own words. Remember that the average person can read up to 1,200 words in 10 minutes, which is a long time on the internet. If you prefer, you can record your experience and send us an audio or video file. Photographs of your own art work, audio files of your own music, or links to your own website are encouraged. Submit only what you are willing to freely share on the internet.
For Mystical Experiences
Your submission should have three parts 1) your name and the context of your experience, 2) the experience and what happened, and 3) a personal reflection. If you like, you can create a name for your submission, and offer a personal photograph.
For Practices
Please describe a practice in your own words. You may include a personal reflection. Quotes attributed to other people, links to websites, articles, or videos are welcome. Book or film recommendations are welcome.
For Mystics
Please share a mystic and whether the mystic is a contemporary, or a mystical ancestor. If the person is a contemporary, please obtain their permission to be included on the Mystical Friend website, or better yet, encourage them to submit something themselves. If the person is a mystical ancestor, please describe them in your own words. You may include book or film recommendations, provide links to other websites, or note how they have influenced you. If you are able to submit a photograph of them (particularly one that is freely available without copyright restrictions), we would be grateful. If not, you could submit a photo of a book they wrote, or a photo of you engaging with the mystical ancestor in your own way, such as through art or music. Finally, if you’d like to see a mystical ancestor featured, but do not want to write about them, just send us an email. We’ll add the mystical ancestor to our list of future posts.
Thank you for being willing to share your experiences, practices, and favorite mystics.
